These terms cover this website and the hosting and domain subscriptions sold through it. Subscribing means accepting them.

Using this site

By using starqlabs.com you accept these terms. If you do not, stop using the site. We may change these terms; the version published here is the one that applies.

This is not an offer

Everything on this site is general information about what Starq Labs does. It is not a quote, not an offer to contract, not a commitment to availability, and not professional, legal, security, or financial advice. Do not act on it as though it were advice about your own systems. Project work beyond a subscription is quoted and agreed before it starts.

What hosting includes

We operate the platform your site runs on: deployment, the production domain, certificates, backups, and the security updates underneath. Changes to the site itself — new pages, features, design work — are separate and quoted before they start.

Billing

Hosting is billed monthly in advance, per site. Domain registration is billed yearly in advance, per domain. Both renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown before you subscribe, and we will tell you in advance if they change.

Cancelling

Cancel at any time from your account. Service runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and is not renewed after that. Part months are not refunded. Cancel a domain and we stop renewing it; it then expires on its own schedule at the registrar.

If payment fails

We remove the custom domain, so the site stops being served on it. Nothing is deleted — the site, its content, and its data stay intact, and settling the balance restores it. We email you when this happens.

What is yours

Your content, your data, and any domain we register on your behalf belong to you. Ask and we will hand over the code, transfer the domain, and give you the access to run it elsewhere. None of that is contingent on remaining a customer.

Accounts

If you hold a client account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been accessed by someone else. We may suspend an account being used to break these terms or the law.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to this site or its systems, probe or test its security without written permission, interfere with its operation, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, or use the contact form to send unsolicited commercial messages.

Ownership of content

The text, design, and code of this site belong to Starq Labs, LLC. You may read, quote, and link to it. You may not republish it as your own. What we build for a client belongs to that client as set out in their agreement.

Other people's services

This site depends on third-party providers and may link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, their availability, or how they handle your data. Their terms apply to them.

No warranty

This site is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be available without interruption, that it is free of errors, or that the information on it is complete or current. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Starq Labs, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of this site. This section is about the website. Liability under a signed engagement is governed by that agreement. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes about this site belong to the state and federal courts serving Fairfax County, Virginia.
